not 100% my photos. the pop art background chik with the purple hair is my work. the rest,are borrowed pics.thanks the message behind this piece is how the media (tv,magazines,hollywood,etc.) is definately very sick.I'll watch TV for over an hour and I'm already self-conscious.I have battled with eating disorders my whole life,and millions of other girls and guys have also.I don't BLAME the media 100%,but my point of view on it after several (LOTS) debates/conversations on the topic,is that we are fed twisted messages through VARIOUS outlets every DAY,and one of the biggest issues is self-IMAGE and self-worth.Women are portrayed as objects to sexualize,and women THEMSELVES do this on television etc. Ok,I'm gonna stop now,I can go on FOR HOURS about this,because it's so important that we as a community UNITE and try and spread a better message around.A Positive,self-loving,hopeful message.The Type of message that will make a young girl look in the mirror and smile...not make herself throw up.It's really painful for me to be a witness of this ongoing crap. Ok As you can tell I am very passionate about this. Hope you like this piece. |
